RECONSTRUCTION OF ATBRĪVOŠANAS ALLEY IN RĒZEKNE

Reconstruction works were carried out along the stage of Atbrīvošanas Alley from Maskavas Street to the city boundary, stage length: 782 m. In one section of the stage of road, two traffic lands were established in each traffic direction. In the mid–stage, one traffic lane was established in the direction towards the outskirts of the city, while in the direction towards the city centre, two traffic lanes were built. Along the final stage of the road, one traffic lane was established in each direction. To improve the safety of pedestrians, a pedestrian safety barrier was built at the bus stop opposite the driveway leading to the “K–Rauta” store. For safety reasons, along the entire length of the stage of road to be redesigned, the pavement was separated from the driveway with a green zone. On the right-hand side of the driveway, a pedestrian and cycle path was built for the convenience of local residents. Two public transport stops were redesigned with the addition of driveway expansions, ensuring better traffic organisation on this stage of the road.
