Under the auspices of the project, an access road with an entrance was built on the V538 highway from Zilupe – Pasiene and an exit on the A12 highway in the direction of the Terehova border control point.
The pass building, car scales and repair workshop were built in the northern part of the terminal territory. A hotel building and car park, office building, boiler house and fire extinguishing pond were built to the south-west of the car scales. The pass buildings, repair workshops and office buildings are of container-type with electric heating, which reduced the length of the construction of external heating networks.
The terminal’s territorial car parks and driveways are built with an asphalt surface, whereas concrete paving stone was used for the pedestrian pavements. In places where the relief descends, reinforced concrete support walls have been built. The terminal territory is fenced with a welded metal mesh fence covered with a plastic coating, topped off with barbed wire. Fence height: 2.5 m. From the side of existing cemetery, the territory is separated by a thick fence made from profile steel sheets. Automatically adjustable gates and automatic barriers were built at the exits. The territory surrounding the water tower was fenced off with a welded metal fence. Landscaping works were carried out in the terminal territory including the installation of a lawn.
